is virtually painless due to two reasons. Firstly, Soprano Laser SHR has a contact cooling system. Due to this system, the Laser contacts the skin at 25 C or even lower. Although pain tolerance is rather subjective, low contact temperature cannot cause a lot of pain even to very sensitive skin or body areas. Secondly, using the cooling system SHR Laser method produces a lot of short pulses instead of one huge as non SHR Lasers do. Many small pulses warm the skin gradually and makes it painless in most cases.Rather than exposing the hair follicle to a single high energy pulse which can cause trauma to skin with a high melanin count, SHR gradually heats the skin until the required heat energy is delivered to the hair follicle. The Soprano laser uses an 810 nm wavelength which has been considered the gold standard of hair removal effectiveness.
